MY APOLOGIES FOR VOTING APC IN 2007 & 2012 ELECTIONS

MY APOLOGIES FOR VOTING APC IN 2007 & 2012 ELKONGWEH.

The people of Kono are no fools! We will never forget all the atrocities meted out againt us under the Hot Burning Sun!

We fought for APC’s victory with all we had- financial, moral, physical, heaven knows what! We even stake our family ties just to see APC come back to power, defied all caution of our fore parents who once witnessed the misrule of APC. We were warned but failed to heed saying “we don’t wanna hear sh**t”.

My heartfelt apologies to our dear elderly folks for letting you witness yet another gruesome rule of APC. I still remember how passionate we were in the fight to bring back APC to power- village to village, door to door, street to street, up to the eleventh hour, our people were never convinced about the political tie b/w us and APC. Alas we gave in for the spirit of kinsmanship “konomorkwe”! Yes, we gave in as a result of “konomorkwe”

Did I hear you say you want to come back? Hahaha! The people of Kono have spared just a simple question for you: WHERE ARE OUR SONS YOU EMBARKED ON A POLITICAL JOURNEY WITH TEN YEARS AGO? Yes, we are they? Where is the Sahr Samuel Sam Sumana, the Sahr Emerson Lamina? The list goes on. Who is that true Kono man/woman that will move Kono again in your favour? No way, you can’t get us this time!

My grandma used to tell me an adage: “fambul tik kin but e nor dae broke”. Thus, we the patriots of Kono in strong solidarity with our brothers, whom we refer to as our own! We will fight together and die together.

My APC, we the people of Kono are not ingrates! We value our relationship with you so much, we honored our own part of the coin by voting you in in the previous 2 elections, we respect you and we believe you will also play your own part by joining alliance with us in our own direction! Tagging non konos as konos for Kono’s vote will not help you. Kono is a very unique ethnic group in Sierra Leone whose identity stand out distinctively from all other ethnic group. Stop fooling yourself, the Kono knows their kinsmen and are still waiting for that SAHR, TAMBA, AIAH, KOMBA, KAI, SAFEA OR SIA, KUMBA, FINDA, BONDU !! We are waiting!! Nonsense!!
People of Kono let’s wise up and face the reality- we have for far too been treated with contempt and neglect! How long shall we continue to be oppressed, suppressed and depressed? This is our time, the time we have been waiting for to correct our wrongs! Let’s speak out loud with one voice to take our destiny in our hands less posterity hold us accountable tomorrow! Let’s talk sense to our people that APC has failed and betrayed us. Let’s be firm and kick out APC!!
I ever remain to be a KONO KONGWEH.
