*IS CHRDI’s ABDUL FATOMA’s LIFE AT RISK?*
Disheartening news reaching the CHRDI office in London from Sierra Leone is indicating that their CEO Abdul Fatoma’s life would now be at risk.
Since the renowned human rights and Anti-Corruption activist was released from custody, he has been forbidden from leaving the country for an indefinite period .
For the past two days CHRDI have been receiving calls from people advising Mr Fatoma to be mindful of his personal security as it has been rumored that certain people, mostly supporters of certain politicians intend to attack him
“we can now say his life is at risk” A CHRDI official said in London.
CHRDI would continue to monitor the situation and alert all Human Rights protection organizations including the United Nations about the threat on Mr Abdul Fatoma’s physical safety and freedom of movement, while he is still being unlawfully held in Sierra Leone.
