THE NATIONAL UNION OF SIERRA LEONE STUDENTS (NUSS)  CALLS ON THE GOVERNMENT OF SIERRA LEONE TO EASE THE CONSTRAINTS OF TRANSPORTATION ON THE STUDENT POPULACE

*THE NATIONAL UNION OF SIERRA LEONE STUDENTS (NUSS)  CALLS ON THE GOVERNMENT OF SIERRA LEONE TO EASE THE CONSTRAINTS OF TRANSPORTATION ON THE STUDENT POPULACE.*
The National Union of Sierra Leone Students is never in any doubt that the Government of Sierra Leone has a duty to ease the transportation constraints that have become the bane of the student populace across the country. The Union is also in no doubt that the thought of the degrading conditions under which students have to scramble to make their way to their respective learning institutions is a needless disincentive to proper learning.
The situation, needless to say, is already an eyesore, with the reopening of all tertiary institutions presenting the real possibility of bringing increasing transportation-related challenges to make worse of an already intolerable challenge. There is obviously no need to dwell upon the daily constraints this has on the student populace. We all know there cannot be an overemphasis of how unbearable these “preventable constraints” have become.
We are very well aware of the impressive promises government functionaries have made on several platforms about providing more buses and introducing other related measures to ameliorate the heartbreaking situation. In every step along the way, we shall be with you to make sure that these promises are kept and the welfare of our constituents is given the topmost priority it deserves.
We are therefore calling on the Government of Sierra Leone to address the pressing needs of transportation among students across the country. Given that these “avoidable constraints” place a heavy burden upon the students of this country, we are positive that addressing them should not take a lower priority.
*Long Live Students’ Unionism!!*
*Long Live NUSS!!*
