LEGAL AID BOARD 31st January 2017
The Legal Aid Board wishes to inform the general public that on Friday, 27th of January 2017,Mr. Ibrahim Kallon one of its Child Advocate Paralegals went to secure bail in respect of two children at the New England police station. Bail was secured and thereafter it is alleged some offences took place.
Presently, he is suspended on half pay pending hearing and determination of the matter.
Due to ethical reason both matters involving Ibrahim Kallon and the Children Forum Network members Mr.Kallon is representing have been handed over to counsel outside the Legal Aid Board. The Board wishes to take the opportunity to appeal to all parties to exercise restraint, stop writing inflammatory or distorted articles against either parties especially on social media or taking divisive actions which break groups apart especially children’s groups
The board wishes to inform the general public that its doors are open for business as usual.
We must not forget that we have an obligation to keep this country together especially of persons in positions of trust.
