THE MINISTER OF SOCIAL WELFARE GENDER AND CHILDREN’S AFFAIRS SHOULD APOLOGISE TO THE CHILDREN AND GENERAL PUBLIC FOR CHILD VIOLATION

THE MINISTER OF SOCIAL WELFARE GENDER AND CHILDREN’S AFFAIRS SHOULD APOLOGISE TO THE CHILDREN AND GENERAL PUBLIC FOR CHILD VIOLATION.

Prior to what happened on the 28th December, 2016. When the Minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs ordered “thugs” whom she called her good friends to beat and molested children which is a crime against the children and went contrary to the second pillar of the U.N convention on the right of the child. “THE RIGHT TO DEVELOP” and it’s tantamount to an apology.

The Minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs, Dr. Silva Olayinka Blyden has since been posting on social media calling members of the children’s forum network thugs, gangs, and comparing them with child soldiers in Rwanda and those school going kids who decided to take the law into their own hands by engaging in anti- social activities while return from their sport meet.

For these reasons the office of the President CFN which comprises the president Paulina. H.Bangura and the vice president Mohamed Barrie issued a press release which stated that they have prosponed their usual Thursday meetings normally held at the Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs conference room New England ville till further notice.

On the contrary the third person amongst the four elected executive of the forum ie the Secretary general Hussain Muckson Sesay good against this release with support from the Minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs Dr.Silva Olayinka Blyden by sermoning a meeting in the name of CFN without the knowledge of his bosses ie the President and the vice president.

This meeting according to the vice president Mohamed Barrie”90% of those children who attended were not legitimate members of the network and it was this meeting the minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs uses to manipulate and did reconcile between Hussain Muckson Sesay Secretary general of CFN And that of Kandeh Kamara CFN Eastend branch elected president whose mother is seriously anger with this as audios and videos are there as evidences to the effect.

If that be the case, it has came to our notice the minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs Dr. Silvia Olayinka Blyden has felt guilty of child abuse, molestation and anti- child growth as stated in the most predominant document covering the child wellbeing the United Nations Convention on the Right of the child (U.N.C.R.C).

In light with this we are therefore calling on the minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs Dr. Silvia Olayinka Blyden to do a public apology to the children and the general public of Sierra Leone for these offenses.🔚release.
