Alliance have vowed to dent PAOPA popularity with violence

*The Alliance in another Mess*

As news of the endless support of PAOPA continue to spread across the country, members and supporters of the Alliance have vowed to dent that popularity with violence. It can be noted that members of the alliance have been calling loyal supporters of the party PAOPA just because the supporters have failed to subdue in implementing their ill plans. On several occasions, members of the Alliance have visited the SLPP headquarter without violent confrontation from anyone. But all we see on the side of the alliance is the propagation of violence on the side of PAOPA. And this violence does not exist in reality. There are no reported cases of any PAOPA supporter targeting a member of the Alliance at the party headquarter.
What happened today at the law court is a clear indication of which faction within the SLPP is violent. A bodyguard protecting Franklyn Rogers(member of the Alliance) shot the West Rural District chairlady Yeama Kassay in the leg in broad daylight. The said bodyguard immediately fled the scene after the shooting. As I type, a cross section of the SLPP party supporters and the police are searching for the shooter.
It can be recalled that violent acts with the possibilities of loss of lives are nothing new when it comes to the Alliance. In last year, an incident occurred in Kenema surrounding JOB. Thugs and bandits were hired by JOB to cause mayhem on peaceful supporters in Kenema. That led to a stabbing instance and subsequently the death of a young man in a way still unclear as the investigation continues. To date, no evidence has been provided so far against those arrested for the crime. Many are pointing fingers at JOB, saying that he masterminded the death of the young man so a section of PAOPA supporters can carry the blame. Having a repeat of violent conducts by a member of the Alliance in the heart of the capital has indicated and exposed the plans of the Alliance. And if one can relate the Kenema incident to today’s shooting, it is now evident the Alliance can do anything to gain power, and the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Daddy George in Kenema is no exception. It is time the supporters of SLPP knew who the real thugs and violent sects within the party are. If one can result in shooting a member of his own party in broad daylight on the instructions of his boss, then the intentions of the boss who gave the order to shoot an active member of the very SLPP he plans to lead should be questioned.
