I am sick and tired with this J6 commemoration!

political gimmick➖➖➖➖➖➖

I am sick and tired with this J6 commemoration!!! It endorses and further reinforces the rhetoric that Freetown is Sierra Leone. IT IS JUST A CAPITAL… !!!!

The war started on 23 March, and many people had already been tortured at the “slaughter house” in Kailahun. They called it Mende man war. When it reached in the north , they said it was a revenge. People in Freetown were asking if rebels have tails. J6 was just the climax of the atrocities. So why are people so concerned about one area of the atrocities with no due respect to others who equally or even suffered more than some in the City.

Let us start looking at the broader picture of the effect of the war than just J6? It is a healing process…ask TRC. I think we should be asking Human Rights Commission to make on follow up on the reparation package for the victims. This is no political issues ( though it requires political will but not political gimmick as it looks like now) but rather a national matter that deserves serious attention.

We don’t even have a monument to remind us of where we came from..are really taya wit de politics involve in dis tin ya. Na so me de oh..forgive me. Are lek for call tin de way i see dem..that is what we call understanding. Seeing things from the bottom side.

Think about it..
