*Conspiracy still looms at MSWGCA*
Couple of weeks ago, a phone recorded message made the rounds on social media. The message was a telephone conversation between the Minister of State in the VP’s office and the Permanent Secretary in the MSWGCA recorded by the Minister of Social Welfare. The two ministers conspired to set up the PS who is the younger brother of the Vice President. This plot was supported by the Special Assistant to President Koroma on Public matters.
Don’t misunderstand me here. The alleged act of the PS is duly condemned here, but the way the 2 ministers and Assistant went about doing it is what is disgusting. Conspiracy of a high degree.
As if not enough, the trio (Minister Blyden, Minister Bah and Special Assistant Shekito) plotted again in demeaning the President. Thirty five (35) intended pilgrims nominated by His Excellency President Koroma were denied the opportunity to this year’s pilgrimage. Included in that number are the three people recommended by the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare – they were equally so denied. Of course you can tell why the nominees of the Deputy Minister were denied.
Reliable and confirmed sources have it that the Special Assistant to the President sold some spaces to undeserving and unsuspecting people at a cost of Le25m each.
The degree of malaise and greed has overtaken our nationalistic outlook and all that we care for is self, even to the detriment of the poor masses.
We call on President Koroma to stamp his foot down on this unhealthy and barbaric behaviour of some senior members of government. And further ask the Anti Corruption Commission to thoroughly investigate this confirmed allegation and bring them to book. What is good for the goose (PS Foh), must be good for the gander (SP Shekito).
Meanwhile, a total of 819 pilgrims left the shores of Sierra Leone on Monday and have all reached safely in Saudi. But the conspiracy to leave out 35 potential pilgrims is being unearthed.
Stay tuned for the conclusion of this matter
